Hey Logan County, believe it or not, spring wildfire season begins in March. Please be careful with all outdoor burning, and remember that there is a statewide open burning ban between the hours of 6:00 am and 6:00 pm throughout the months of March, April and May!
Once the snow finally melts, all of the dead vegetation and crop residues around the county will dry quickly, and can burn readily with the right dry and windy conditions. More than 95% of wildfires in Logan County are human-caused. Don’t put yourself and your neighbors in peril by irresponsible burning.
Four out of every 10 fall wildfires in Logan County is caused by careless burning of trash, debris and other waste. It’s safer not to burn trash at all, but if you must burn, remember the following:
If your fire gets away from you, call 9-1-1 immediately! Wildfires grow rapidly and can quickly become a threat to life and property. The sooner your fire department gets there, the smaller the fire will be.

Be careful with fire!
